About Rachel

A genuine, passionate, creative, God fearing soul, looking for another genuine, passionate, creative God fearing soul to share life with. I Like the simple things in life – spending time with my kids, family, and friends, going for long walks, days out, trips away, having lazy Sunday’s. Love the theatre, the arts and photography. Would like to meet someone who is actually ready to take a relationship seriously. I’m not expecting wedding bells in the first year, although I’m open to surprises;) All I’m saying is, no time wasters or those looking for TOO MUCH on the first date…..if you catch my drift 🙂 Only gentlemen need apply. And if I’m not for you, thanks for viewing my profile and best of luck:)

Rachel’s Answers

What do you like to do for fun?

Take my kids out. Paint, take photographs. Sing in choir.

What is your favourite meal?

I’m not fussy with food, I eat just about anything, except I have an allergy to shellfish, so no choice but to avoid that.

What is the most interesting fact about you?

I don’t know if it’s interesting, but I’m half Irish and half Ghanian.

What is your most treasured possession?

Of course my kids are not my possession, but they are my treasure. I value love above all things. As far as material things go, nowt….we came empty handed and we will leave empty handed.

What is your favourite place in the world to visit?

Most recently, I’ve visited South Korea twice. An amazingly profound experience. Absolutely loved it. I’d go back again in a flash.

Who is your greatest inspiration?

My parents

If you won the lottery what would you buy first?

Ooh, it’s double edged sword is that one. On the one hand I’d want to help as many people as possible, but on the other hand it might just be one big ball of stress. So then to relieve the stress of it I’d buy a winebago and tear off into the sunset:)

What is your favourite book or film and why?

Wild Swans by Jung Chang – amazing story. Film wise – loads….love comedies, rom coms, thrillers and mysteries.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Always wanted to act, so did that from leaving school right up to about 6 years ago. I briefly wanted to be an air hostess when I was about 15, but was told I’d be too short by a career’s advisor.

What do you like most about your job?

Flexibility and freedom. I’m my own boss.

What is the scariest thing you’ve ever done?

Abseiling……it’s that first bit where you have to lower yourself over the edge…..truly terrifying! I just did one recently for the Red Cross.

Who or what do you secretly want to be?

I’m happy being me……..but when I was a child, I always had this burning desire to grow wings and fly like a bird. Perhaps that’s the angel in me. Lol:)

What would you do on a perfect Sunday?

A nice lie in, breakfast in bed, reading or watching the news. Then a nice country walk with a good restaurant at the end of it, and to finish off a comedy film curled up on the sofa. Perfect:)

What is the most embarrassing thing you’re willing to admit?

Went to work once with my skirt stuck in my knickers, that was pretty embarrassing considering it was like that all the way from my house, on the bus and through the centre of town until I got to work when someone kindly informed me of my mistake…….shame no one…
